Meet Captain Tim Winters
Tim Winters has been fishing Lake Erie since he was a young boy. Tim and his brother bought their first boat when Tim was 9 years old and he has been maneuvering around Lake Erie and the Western Basin ever since. Tim has been chartering boats since 1988 but started as a boat cleaner and first mate back in the 70’s. Now Tim has his own charter boat and has been doing private charters since 1991.
Tim has seen the lake at its ugliest with storms brewing up in just minutes with 10-foot waves to its most beautiful with calm winds and gorgeous sunrises. Tim’s goal, while customers are on his boat, are safety first and foremost, to have a good time and good fishing. No matter how stubborn the fish are for any particular day or what weather Mother Nature sends his way, safety and serving his customers is number one.
